Biography

Since I began the BFA Major in Theatre program at university, I have been continually involved with theatre companies from community to professional level. I have worked in most areas of production, including design stage and production management, technical direction, and translation. I've worked with the Segal Centre, the Yiddish Theatre, the Fringe Festival, the Centaur Theatre's WildSide festival, and a host of other independent productions. I also have considerable experience working with schools and Community-type theatre groups. For many years, I was the Production Manager and Technical Director (as well as Designer and Stage Manager) for Bialik High School, where I helped create such highly successful shows as Les Misérables, Cabaret, West Side Story, Macbeth, and Oliver, among many others. Professional credits include Design and Technical Direction on Altar Boyz (Salle Gesù), Someone Between (La Balustrade, Monument National), The Chamber and Afterglow (Geordie Space). I have advised on productions for Laval Liberty High School, Villa Sainte-Marcelline, Herzliah High School, and Riverdale high School, and consulted on the design and equipment for a new Performing Arts venue. In addition to continued freelance theatre work, I've also worked as an ISO 9001 program manager, graphic and web designer, information manager, and administrative coordinator. This vast range of experience has given me a unique perspective, the ability to view challenges from several angles, and creativity in problem-solving.
